Growing up Ronnie enjoyed playing basketball, listening to music and video games. And he also enjoyed the music of Luther Vandross. And could cook a mean dish of spaghetti. Ron also likes eating oysters.

Ron was in a local group called the Dramatics when he was recruited into New Edition giving them five members. Ron was a quiet, reserved guy who enjoyed the feeling of being in a group. Ron's cousin Travis Gresham, did the original choreography for NE, and Ron also went on to do choreography for NE. His uncle Brooke Payne played an important part in his music career.

Rapidly becoming one of New Edition's chief attractions, Ron's confidence grew and he was more outgoing. Ron was featured in an early issue of Right On! Magazine dedicated to sex symbols, the story's title was "What's Ronnie DeVoe's Romantic Secret?"

Now Ron is working on a solo debut, entitled 'For You.' He is currently working on his second website, www.rondevoe.com and you can write Ron at his Private Line:
